The TV Writer's Voice - Who We Are and Why We are HERE

Until we launch our official website, here's a brief overview of the The TV Writer's Voice and our Mission.

The TV Writer’s Voice is a full-service media production company which documents the efforts of non-profit organizations, social enterprises, and positive change-makers across the globe.
We create content designed to make a profound and lasting impact in communities throughout the world by educating and inspiring viewers on social issues that demand immediate attention for positive change. Through the use of multi-media, we are able to create Social Awareness on a global scale.

WHY?
The media constantly bombards us with images of violence, crime, unrealistic standards of beauty, and depictions of material excess. These messages strongly program the minds of our youth and are primary influences affecting increased crime rates, poverty, unhealthy sexual behavior, poor self-esteem, and countless others. When we watch TV, the overall message is "Power = Success", causing our generation to chase after this illusion by any means necessary. Our goal is to transform "The Love of Power" into "The Power of Love".

The TV Writers Voice focuses on creating content that educates and inspires communities about the efforts of individuals and organizations who are dedicated to outreach and change... Essentially the "do-gooders" who are often overlooked.

Most importantly, The TV Writers Voice documents the stories of those who have undergone transformation as a result of the programs, assistance, and opportunities provided by the organizations in their communities. The result is a highly powerful inspirational tool, which can be spread to the masses in hopes of opening their eyes to current issues and motivating other community members to join the movement and become active change-makers.

CASTING ACTORS: "EMPIRE" - Pilot for Major Network (M/F 21-31)

Dcode Films will be holding auditions for two lead actors in the pilot for "Empire". The pilot is backed by one of the major networks and will be directed by award winning director, Moe Charif. Production is set to begin on May 15th. We are shooting in Miami and NYC. "Empire" will have some intense action scenes as well as emotional ones, so actors need to be able to portray different emotion and be fit to get through some intense action scenes. 1- Carla: Beautiful female 21/28 years old. Carla finds herself in a precarious situation when she realizes she is being chased for reasons unknown to the viewer. She tries to evade capture in anyway she can. Her biggest fear is to be seperated from Damon, her boyfriend and the love of her life. Race not important. Needs to be fit and in good shape and comfortable wearing swimming suite.

2- Damon: Male 23/31 years old. Carla's boyfriend. Damon tries to help Carla the best way he knows how to. He is very smart and calculated. Damon and Carla have been evading capture for some time, so he's adapted to living on the run. Needs to be well coordinated, fit and athletic.

MARISOL TAMEZ'S BIO

Born and raised in Miami, FL, Writer/Producer Marisol Tamez began her television career in her youth as a host and reporter. Her outstanding work contributing to quality and creative content quickly led her to transition to the production side of television and video, producing for international channels such as MTV Networks, Telemundo, and HTV. As one of the channel’s head writers, Marisol’s upbeat personality and relatable voice is brought to life daily on TR3S: MTV, Musica y Mas , which reaches 35 million households, making it the most-widely distributed TV network dedicated to today's bicultural Latino youth.


Through the practice of yoga, Marisol has cultivated a deep compassion for our youth and has chosen to use her creativity, communication skills, and experience in media production to make a greater social impact. In 2011, she founded The TV Writer’s V.O.I.C.E., an acronym for her “Vision of Inspiring Communities to Evolve”. This full-service media production company focuses on creating content designed to make a profound and lasting impact in communities by educating and inspiring viewers on social issues that demand immediate attention for positive change. By documenting the efforts of non-profit organizations and social enterprises , her vision is to highlight these change-makers in communities across the world and create digital curriculum of their programs in order to make this information available on a global scale. Marisol is also the Vice Chair of the Miami Chapter of Young Women Social Entrepreneurs (YWSE).
